A cultural project to support, develop and promote folk song traditions, combining forms of scientific discussions and concert programs in order to demonstrate achievements in field of folk creativity. The festival is focused on development of the already existing intercultural dialogue.
The goals and objectives of the Festival: promoting and developing the best traditions in national song culture; improving the system of education in arts; developing innovative methods in the educational process; looking for new forms of artistic and aesthetic upbringing of a new generation; finding and supporting talented youth in the sphere of culture and art; fostering exchange of creative, professional and educational experience.
The event will last for six days (November 11–16), for three days during the Forum.
The Festival program of the first days includes the competition of folklore songs entitled "As it was on the Fontanka River".
