Augmented and Virtual Reality as Way of Representing a Private Collection

18:00 — 20:00
Art space "Cultural Center Gromov" 4 Gromova st., St. Petersburg

Private collections are usually not accessible to most who would be interested in viewing them (professionals or amateurs). Presentation of private collections through the virtual space and augmented reality can become an effective instrument for letting professionals and the general public gain access to these collections.

Issues within the topic:

  • A dialog between collectors inside the same virtual space of augmented reality application: How can it happen?
  • Does representing art via the virtual space and augmented reality suffice for full understanding of the art by viewers?
  • What are the prospects of introducing such technologies within the Petersburg Collectors' Club, created at the Cultural Forum’2018?
