The Russian animation industry has developed dynamically recently to become one of drivers in the creative area. Thus, since 2011 the volume of the Russian animation market has increased more than thrice: from 2.3 to 7.4 bln rubles.
Today animation is more than art: in the modern world it's an effective and universal communication tool. That's why more and more international companies are interested in producing high-quality media content. The Russian industry has a remarkable creative potential - which is why it attracts considerable attention of foreign producers. It is essential for the Russian studios in their turn to become a part of the global market, thus stimulating the national production.
How can co-production be made mutually beneficial? What opportunities does it present for participants of joint production? These questions will be a topic of the panel discussion at the VIII Cultural Forum in Saint Petersburg.
