A joint concert of the Shanghai National Orchestra and the State Academic Orchestra named after V. V. Andreev, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the establishment of Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations.
The Shanghai National Orchestra is a world-famous ensemble, the pearl of the musical scene of modern China. The orchestra is based on traditional national instruments such as erhu, banhu, pipa, ruan, dizi, suona, etc.
The first section of the concert includes a musical collage from the works of six contemporary Chinese authors — "New Oriental Suite". "Yanzi River", "Dancing Birds", "Silk Road", "Symphony of Calligraphy" — the names of the parts of the suite speak for themselves. The audience gets acquainted with traditional Chinese instruments, which in the hands of brilliant soloists will create amazing sound effects.
In the second section, Chinese national instruments will sound with the Russians: Shanghai Orchestra and the musicians of the Andreevsky Orchestra will perform the symphony of modern Chinese composer Zhao Jiping "Ode to the Peace", dedicated to the victory over fascism and Japanese militarism.
