The Europe: Union of Theatre Schools and Academies was established in 2011 in St. Petersburg during The Europe Theatre Prize. The goal of interaction of theatre schools on the venue of this Union is not just participation in festivals of student performances and creative laboratories held by participating universities or exchange of professors, but also support of new forms of independent creativity of students, particularly in the international format, as well as dealing with problems of integrating yesterday’s students into professional life and theatre process. A special thing about this kind of associations is equal positions of professors and students among executives of this Union: every school is represented by one professor and one student, and the Executive Committee also includes equal numbers of professors and students.

At the Conference professors will discuss dimensions of opinion exchange concerning methodologies of modern education for specialists of different areas of study, prospects of exchanges on the level of Master degrees, and problems of social and moral responsibility of theatre schools. Another relevant topic is participation of creative educational establishments in international university ratings. The discussion is intended for drama professors, graduate drama students, young directors and actors.
