The Symposium will focus on the role of international cooperation of libraries in global information exchange, its impact on development of science, culture and education in different countries.

- The role of libraries in organization of international cultural exchange, development and mutual enrichment of cultures;
- International cooperation of libraries in case of emergency; overcoming consequences of military actions, natural catastrophes and man-made disasters;
- Scientific cooperation of libraries.
Within the framework of the event Cooperation Agreements between the Russian National Library, the National Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the National Library of Italy are expected to be signed.
