International Conference “University Museums and Collections: Natural Science Heritage,” presentation of the album “Collection of Knowledge: Museums and Collections of St. Petersburg State University”. Plenary session

An international conference that will discuss natural science museums and university collections, includes the presentation of the album “Collection of Knowledge: Museums and Collections of St. Petersburg State University”. The event will discuss a broad range of issues related to history and work of natural science museums and university collections. The topics will include the role of natural science museums and collections in academic, research and educational activities of universities, the legal position and status of university collections; problems of their preservation, cataloguing and accounting, digitization of collections and their representation in the virtual space. The participants of the conference will be invited to tour museums and collections of SPSU.
