NEMOSKVA Platform. Regional Curating Problems: Independent and Museum Practices

The discussion will cover the main problems of the curator profession in the regions of Russia. The presented conclusions are based on the results of the Curatorial School, a mobile educational project of the NEMOSKVA platform, which held on October 14-28, 2019 in Satka, Chelyabinsk Region. School participants were 20 curators selected on a competitive basis, who work independently or in regional art institutions. Discussion will analyze the requests of regional curators in connection with the interests of potential partners from charity foundations, and also compared with the international agenda of contemporary art.
