The foundation of any culture is its national self-awareness that reflects the history of the nation, its past, present and its vision of the future. Peculiarities of national traditions, social relationships, historical events determine unique cultural codes of each nation and society. In the context of rapid globalization, national cultural codes allow to support the identity of each nation, and at the same time create a new cultural reality, which will bring together diversity and uniqueness, with the universal values and humanistic ideas at its foundation. Studying the new cultural codes of the contemporary society — the society where borders are purely nominal, and communications are universal — provides a key to understanding what future expects us.

How do we achieve harmonious interaction between diverse groups of the society, and how do people aspire to co-exist in communities with diverse and dynamic cultural uniqueness? Must the state reinforce integration and participation of all people in cultural interaction? Can we achieve balance between traditional values and new trends, while respecting the existing cultural diversity?
