Preserving the Heritage. Science and Technology. Issues of Preservation and Study of Peter's Heritage and Cultural Monuments of the 18th Century

The conference is devoted to the material heritage of the Peter the Great era and the issues of their preservation, study and valorization. The conference actualizes the tasks of scientific restoration and new technologies for studying memorabilia, works of art, architectural monuments directly related to the personality of the first Russian emperor. The range of issues discussed includes the problems of adaptation or museification of buildings of the 17th–18th centuries, in particular, monuments of fortification and outbuildings. One of the sections of the conference is devoted to memorial exhibitions and other methods of updating memorable historical dates. The purpose of the event is to review Russian and foreign practices in the field of preserving the cultural heritage of the era of Peter the Great.
