The roundtable discussion will focus on the following aspects:
- Public service of Daniil Granin. Writer and his time, writer and the authorities of the USSR and Russia. Daniil Granin and Dmitriy Likhachev;
- Granin and Germany: a difficult path to making peace. Speech in the Bundestag. Russian and German prose about the war. The Book of Blockade in Germany;
- Daniil Granin on mercy and charity. Renaissance of charity work in Russia.
The session will end with the presentation of the cultural marathon "Each Grain of Granin", initiated by the Russian Book Union, with the summary of intermediate results and the discussion of its future prospects.
