Born on March 3, 1964 in Leningrad. He graduated with honors from the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory majoring in organ under the supervision of People’s Artist of Russia, professor N. I. Oksentyan, from the assistant-internship of the N. G. Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory majoring in organ under the supervision of People’s Artist of Russia and Tatarstan, Merited Artist of Russia, laureate of the State Prize of Russia, professor and rector R. K. Abdullin.
Member of the Council of the Society for Theory of Music. Editor-in-chief of the scientific and theoretical magazine “Bulletin of the Saint Petersburg University. Art History” (Higher Attestation Commission, Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection). Member of the editorial boards of the scientific and theoretical magazines “Ancient Music” (HAC), “Scientific Bulletin of the Moscow Conservatory” (HAC), “Music. Art, Science, Practice” (HAC), “Journal of the Society of Theory of Music” (HAC), “Philharmonica. International Music Journal”, “Bulletin of the Russian Ballet Academy named after A.Y. Vaganova” (HAC), “Organ Salons”. Author of a significant number of scientific works on the interpretation of ancient music, theory and history of organ art published in Russia, Germany, and the UK. He has been awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
