Alison is Editor of The Art Newspaper, the leading online and print publication of the international art world. Its news and events coverage is fed by a network of sister editions, which together have more than 50 correspondents working in more than 30 countries, with editorial offices in London, New York, Paris, Moscow and Shanghai. Previously, Alison worked as an Executive Director for some of the UK’s leading cultural organisations, including Art Fund, Southbank Centre and Arts Council England. She is also an art critic and art historian and has written several books, including Italian Renaissance Courts: Art, Pleasure and Power (Laurence King, 2016) and Michelangelo’s Taddei Tondo (Royal Academy Publications, 2017). She is currently a Trustee of the Foundling Museum, London, and an Advisor on cultural education to Art UK.
