Associate Professor of Modern History at Artois University and Researcher attached to the Centre de recherches historiques (EHESS / CNRS, Paris).
She obtained a PhD at Paris Sorbonne University in 1995. She is a historian of the enterprises and of the modern materials, from the economic, technical, social and cultural points of view. She is currently leading a new international research program “Aluminium, Architecture and Heritage, XX-XXIe s.” (Archipal). As a historian and specialist of Industrial heritage, she is internationally renowned and carries out expertises for ICOMOS/UNESCO and for European Union organisations. She has organised a number of international conferences, for instance, “The European industrial heritage of the first World War” in 2018.
She is Chair of CILAC, the French Association for Industrial Heritage. She is a member of the French National Committee for the Heritage and the Architecture for the Ministry of Culture, and of numerous museums’ scientific committees. She is a TICCIH board member after having been the Chair of the XVIe TICCIH Congress in 2015 in Lille.
