Received PhD in 2013 at the University of Arts Berlin (Wiederaufnahme? Rückkehr aus dem Exil und das westdeutsche Musikleben nach 1945).
Since 2007 works as a research assistant (musicology) at the University of Arts Berlin.
2009-2014 worked as a research assistant at the DFG-research project “Kontinuitäten und Brüche im Musikleben der Nachkriegszeit”.
In 2014, together with Kim Feser, organized the international conference Techno Studies in Berlin.
From May 2016, works as a research coordinator of the Bernd Alois Zimmermann-Edition.
His research areas are: critical edition of electronic and digital music; the history of electronic dance music/Techno; exile and remigration of musicians during and after the “Third Reich”; postwar music history in Europe.
