Miesjel van Gerwen

Miesjel van Gerwen is a versatile artist with the unique quality to be able to fit the absurd. Miesjel is one of the founders of Bosch Parade, and involved from the first edition in 2010. He uses the experience of 7 editions Bosch Parade to take the event to a higher level. In addition to his work for Bosch Parade, Miesjel plays at many festivals with the multidisciplinary project Ivory Tower (together with cellist Jacqueline Hamelink), and he was formerly associated as programmer and art producer with Theater festival Boulevard in 's- Hertogenbosch. From 1986 up to 2013 he yearly developed huge art-vehicles for a big parade in the village he was born. Miesjel is working on an ever-growing series of daily drawings since 2012 and has a drawn column 4 times a week in the local newspaper in Hertogenbosch.
