Pascal Vandenberghe

Since 2004, he has served as the Managing Director of Payot SA Company, which controls 35% of the book market in French-speaking regions of Switzerland. The company is the leading employer in this sector. Payot Libraire has twelve bookstores, an online store, and employs some 260 staff members. In 2008 Payot SA acquired the exclusive master franchise for Switzerland from Nature & Découvertes, which currently has seven trade outlets in French-speaking Switzerland and employs some 50 people. In July 2014, Pascal Vandenberghe became a majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Payot SA, having retained the position of the General Director. In the same year he was named Knight of The Order of Arts and Literature.
