Pertti Sailo, an architect, born in 1940 in Helsinki, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Tampere Technical Institute. He worked in the construction company Wegelius-kiili Keskus sato.

The grandson of Nina Meisner (niece of L. N. Benois) and Albert Stünkel (a student of L. N. Benois, who took part in construction works of Villa Benois), who founded the dynasty of architects, sculptors and artists in Finland. Together with his sister Ani and two brothers, Seppo and Arpad, also architects, Pertti Sailo carefully preserves the memorial workshop of his parents, Nina Sailo (Stünkel) and Alpo Sailo, famous Finnish sculptors, a vivid example of a creative residence in the spirit of Finnish romanticism that was created for them by the youngest son, Arpad Sailo. Pertti's son, Arttu, is an artist-painter and is a bright representative of modern Finnish art.
