Reetta Ranta

Reetta Ranta is a storyteller and TV producer, and currently is Head of Brand and Development at Gutsy Animations, a Finnish independent production company behind the new Moominvalley animated series. Reetta has worked over 20 years in media with several startups and media companies including Gutsy Animations, Rabbit Films, The Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle, and Basso Radio. She has been working with brand extensions into digital and helped Finnish brands grow internationally, including Habbo Hotel and The Dudesons. Reetta is also known for her TV series Back to Nature.

MOOMINVALLEY is a brand new adaptation of the much-loved Moomin stories of Tove Jansson, a Finnish-Swedish writer and artist whose books have been translated into over 50 languages. A Finnish-British co-production, it is directed by Oscar® winner Steve Box and produced by Gutsy Animations in association with the broadcasters Yle (Finland) and Sky (UK). The award-winning series has now been sold in over 25 territories and was just awarded the 2019 ‘Best Animated Kids Programme’ at the Content Innovation Awards in Cannes.
