Sarah trained as a silversmith and jeweller in Birmingham and went on to teach art and design before getting her first Museum job at the V&A creating events and resources for students. In 2006 she moved to Edinburgh to work at National Museums Scotland and subsequently National Galleries of Scotland in 2008 where she was Deputy Head of Education. From 2013- 2018 she was Director of Learning and Innovation and worked on the development of V&A Dundee, Scotland’s first design museum. In her current role at the British Museum Sarah is responsible for Learning Programmes and Volunteering, National Programmes and Exhibitions, Interpretation and Portable Antiquities and Treasure.
