Born in the city of Pikalevo, the Leningrad Region, in a family of engineers. Higher education. In 2019, he received a bachelor's degree in social work at the Department of Sociology of the St. Petersburg State University.
Since 2011, S.S. Potapov has been engaged in social and political activities. At present, he is a member of the Youth Council under the administration of the Central District of St. Petersburg, a member of the Youth Council under the head of the administration of the Pikalevo City Municipality of the Leningrad Region.
He has been published in Leningrad and St. Petersburg media since the age of 17. He has collaborated with a number of regional and district newspapers, including Vesti, Divya, Our Boksity, Rabochee Slovo and others. In 2013, he headed the editorial staff of Svoya newspaper of the city of Pikalevo.
In 2015–2017 — press secretary of the St. Petersburg branch of LDPR, assistant to a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg.
In 2016, he was an assistant to a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, a member of the St. Petersburg Electoral Commission with an advisory vote.
Member of the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW). Member of the Russian Association of Public Relations (RASO). Member of the St. Petersburg GR Club. Candidate member of the Union of Journalists of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
