Stanisław Hrabia – President of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML); Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland
Stanisław Hrabia is music librarian and head of the Library of the Institute of Musicology at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland; graduated in musicology (1986) and holds a post-graduate degree in information science (1990) from the Jagiellonian University. He is co-author (with S. Będkowski) of Witold Lutosławski: a bio-bibliography (Greenwood Press, 2001) and has published several articles and reports focused on music librarianship.
Stanisław Hrabia is an active member of library associations, both nationally and internationally. In 2010 he was elected as Vice-President of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) and became Chair of IAML Programme Committee conducting preparations of the professional programmes of six IAML Conferences from 2011 to 2016 (Dublin, Montréal, Vienna, Antwerp, New York City, and Rome). In 2016 he has been elected IAML’s President, serving as President-Elect for one year, then started his term as IAML President in 2017.
