Since August 2016, Wiebke was responsible for the conceptualization and practice of participation in Research, collections and exhibitions at the Natural History Museum (Museum für Naturkunde Berlin).

Since August 2018, as a Lead for Museum's new experimental Participation-Area "Experimentierfeld".

Studying Political Science and Anthropology at Tübingen, Mexico City, and Berlin, Wiebke developed a special interest in social conflict and the use, exploitation and management of Ecological Commons.

During Masterthesis and Ph.D., she focused on a conflict between nature conservation and economic development as well as the possibilities of public participation in science-based decisions.

After Wiebke's Ph.D., she worked for the Deutsche Umweltstiftung in the German Commission on Nuclear Waste Management in the German Parliament with a focus on Public Participation.
