Yury is one of the founders of GSOM SPbU, which became a leading business school in Russian Federation. He has authored more than 60 research works in the field of CSR. He has been developing and teaching courses in the Business in Society field for BA and MSc in Management, and Executive MBA programs. He created the “Project Management for Social Entrepreneurs” professional retraining program that was recognized as the best national educational project in social entrepreneurship in 2013 with the “Impulse of Good” award. He has also had visiting positions at the UC Berkeley, St. Mary’s College of California, and Aalto University.

Yury is one of the leading Russian experts in the fields of CSR and corporate sustainability. He has participated in many national and international research projects, including projects with the Russian Managers Association, Russian Donors Forum, and the EMES research network.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the ABIS — the Academy of Business in Society, and the chairman of the Advisory Board of the Charity foundation Raoul. He is also a member of the Editorial boards of the Russian Management Journal, Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University (Management series), the Journal of East European Management Studies (JEEMS), and a member of the Editorial Advisory boards of the Corporate Governance: The international journal of business and society.
